Not only does July mark the month of our country’s independence, but there is also another, lesser known reason to celebrate: National Ice Cream Month. Every year, July marks National Ice Cream Month, and this year National Ice Cream Day was celebrated on July 19th. We already explored America’s favorite ice cream truck treats back in June, so for this “sweet” occasion we reached out to some of our favorite recipe curators to help them put together their own sundae celebrations. You can find some of our favorite creations below:
Angela of Canned Time opted for one of our pie baking dishes to house her Dairy-Free Coriander Nectarine Pear ice cream pie, and wow does it look delicious! You can learn more about Angela and see the recipe in full by visiting her post here.
In Johnna’s Kitchen
Johnna didn’t want to be the only one celebrating National Ice Cream Day and decided to get her fur babies involved in the fun! She whipped up some two ingredient peanut butter and banana ice cream for the whole gang. You can learn more about Gidget, Kohl, Dolce, and Izzy and get the recipe by visiting her post here.
K.C. decided to up the ante this National Ice Cream Day and pair some classic vanilla with her homemade gluten free peach cobbler. You can find the recipe in full on her blog post, which can be viewed here.
Take a look at Ann’s pie above! Combining peaches, mangos, graham cracker, pecans, and a homemade vanilla soft-serve ice cream, she put together a dessert that certainly lives up to her blog’s name. You can find the recipe in full right here.
Christina really took things to the next level with her dark chocolate ice cream recipe – she actually froze coffee into two dozen ice cubes and used them within her recipe! You can find some additional pictures and the recipe in its entirety here.
